Text Box: What a wonderful month September has been for getting our residents out on the people mover. Our ground floor residents have especially enjoyed getting out and about on the “Eagle”. I have heard so many comments about how much fun it is and how good it feels to get some fresh air and sunshine. The weather has been very cooperative. When I see the smiles on our residents faces, I cannot begin to express enough my thanks to the wonderful people who made it possible by their generous giving.
The residents have enjoyed some exciting activities in September starting with a Tomato Festival where they enjoyed marinated tomatoes, fried green tomatoes and stuffed tomatoes. The Gospel River Band provided our residents with a delightful, uplifting evening. We started our Fit & Lively group and are having fun learning about being Fit & Lively at whatever stage in life you’re presently enjoying.
October will bring “Family Fun Day,” Celebrating 150 years of Auglaize Acres being in existence; Music with Dean Altstaetter; “I Scream Cones”; Pumpkin Patch Poetry; and a Halloween party for our residents. Staff and residents will be dressing up for this event.
Anyone having a talent that they would like to share with our residents are encouraged to contact Barb King at Auglaize Acres.
